Meet our team!​

Alex Rittenberg works full time for the Boys and Girls Club of Charlestown.  Alex is passionate about education, health, and Judaism.  Before college, Alex spent a year in Israel studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and working with kids on a kibbutz in Haifa.  She is very excited to start working with CBBS!

Ayana Reiner is coming all the way from Israel and is really excited to be teaching advanced-modern Hebrew. Ayana was born and raised in Israel, was a counselor and head in the Israeli scouts, and recently completed her IDF service working in Human resources in a special paratroopers unit. Ayana had worked with various age groups in leadership programs in her local community and is looking forward to sharing some of her experience with the best songs and games in Hebrew. In her free time, Ayana enjoys cooking, reading and mostly traveling. Ayana is working in the tech industry in project management. Shalom!

Chelsea Rapoport is teaching 2nd/3rd grade for the second year in a row.  She works full-time as a cancer researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital and also resides in a Moishe House, a house that caters to the young adult Jewish community in the Boston area.  She thoroughly enjoyed teaching last year and is looking forward to a new year!  She loves getting to know her students well, and is open to any feedback that parents have to best facilitate their children's learning experiences.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and hosting Shabbats and other events for young professionals in the Jewish community.

Liora Silkes is super excited to teach 4/5th grade this year at Temple B'nai Brith! She has taught Hebrew school and been a songleader for Jewish communities in both the Boston area and in Seattle, where she grew up. Liora is passionate about good food, good music, and environmentalism, and spends her days working on the Mass Save residential energy efficiency program. She is looking forward to meeting the Temple B'nai Brith community soon!

Michelle Izadi is excited to be returning for another school year teaching kindergarten/1st grade.
She has taught religious school on/off for the past 13 years in Fl, NC, and MA. During the week she is an administrative assistant and a teacher at a Jewish preschool and is also a mom of 2 boys, a 4.5 year old and a 20 month old. She also have a black lab.

Seth Weiss My day job is teaching high school students Math.
Starting my 34th year of doing that at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School.
I think this will be the 24rd edition of the Nitzanim class here at B'nai Brith !​
