Congregation B'nai Brith Children's School reflects our commitment to a traditional Judaism informed by progressive thought. CBBCS welcomes students from a wide variety of backgrounds, including traditional and non-traditional families. We strive to create an environment that nurtures our students' sense of who they are as people and as Jews — an environment that includes their families. Our job is to prepare our students for an active, joyful Jewish life experience. Our atmosphere fosters positive Jewish feelings, while our program teaches the basic skills needed to participate in Jewish life. Our students study Jewish holidays, culture, prayer, Hebrew and Torah.

School News & Doings
* Rabbi Eliana and shul member Penny Schwartz held an event on Dec. 4th at Porter Sq. Books to share their favorite new & older children's books about Chanukah. Jacqueline Dembar Greene, author of the Rebecca Rubin American Girl series, also appeared.
* Ed Brody, President of the synagogue, had breakfast with Children's School parents on Dec. 11th. Ed talked about the importance of and challenges in motivating members to volunteer at the school and synagogue in general.
* The school has hired a new Hebrew teacher, Lauren Brodsky. Lauren will start in January.
