welcome to the Mishpocha: we're glad you're here!
Congregation B'nai Brith Children's School (CBBCS) reflects our commitment to a traditional Judaism informed by progressive thought. CBBCS welcomes students from a diverse variety of backgrounds, including traditional and non-traditional families, into our inclusive school community. We strive to create an environment that nurtures our students' sense of who they are as people and as Jews — in a warm environment that welcomes their families as active participants in our Jewish community.
Our job, as the staff and teachers of this school, is to prepare our students for an active, joyful Jewish life experience. We see the Children's School as the initial launching pad for a lifelong love of Jewish learning. CBBCS's atmosphere fosters positive Jewish feelings while teaching the basic skills needed to participate in Jewish life. Our students study Jewish holidays, tikkun olam (social and environmental justice), culture, music, arts, prayer, Hebrew and Torah, while creating lasting friendships in a supportive school community.
