Sophie Handloff (she/her) -- 2/3 and 6/7 Hebrew
My name is Sophie Handloff and I have been teaching Hebrew School in Burlington, Vermont for the past four years. I moved to Somerville to pursue my doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Tufts and I am excited to join the B’nai Brith team and engage with the students in a creative and meaningful way!

Michelle Izadi (She/Her) -- K/1 Jewish studies and Hebrew
Michelle Izadi is excited to be returning for her fourth school year teaching Kindergarten/1st grade at B'nai Brith. During the week you can find Michelle at Yal-Day-New as Infant/Toddler Coordinator & Operations Manager and is also a mom of 2 wonderful boys, a 4.5 year old and a 7.5 year old. She also has a black lab.

has been a teacher for 22 years and is currently an Associate Professor of Education at Lesley University. He writes about issues of education and social justice, in both Jewish and general-audiences publications.

Annike is a sophomore at Umass Boston. She attended school at temple B'nai Brith and had her bat mitzvah there on Halloween 2015. She is passionate about cats and horror movies.

Alex Rittenberg works full time for the Boys and Girls Club of Charlestown. Alex is passionate about education, health, and Judaism. Before college, Alex spent a year in Israel studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and working with kids on a kibbutz in Haifa. She is very excited to start working with CBBCS!
